Invitation

Microorganisms have immense roles in shaping the biogeochemical cycles of the environment and sustaining ecosystem health. They not only affect the cycling of essential elements such as carbon and nitrogen in terrestrial and aquatic ecosystems, but also are utilizable as cost-effective and ecofriendly tools for neutralizing environmental threats. The foremost experts investigating the collective ecosystems functioning of microbiomes and/or their applications to solve the environmental problems with utmost concern, e.g., global warming, have been invited from across the globe. During the half-day symposium, the speakers will introduce their state-of-the-art research in general terms to the audience expectedly consisting of undergraduate and graduate students from KAIST and other leading universities and research institutes in Korea. This symposium will also serve as a venue for active networking and exchange of ideas among the experts from across the globe and aspiring young talents in Korea.
